In-Person Therapy for Men in Denver with a Board-Certified Counselor
Real Talk. Real Support. No Judgment.
For when you’ve realized ‘bottling it up’ really isn’t a great long-term strategy.
For men, mental health challenges can look different—masked by the pressure to appear strong, independent, and in control, even when the struggle beneath the surface is real.
You replay conversations, second-guess what you said, and criticize yourself.
You feel sad and stuck—overthinking, worn down by worry about the future, or regret over the past.
Your relationships feel strained, or you’re feeling isolated and alone.
From the outside, maybe it looks like you’ve got it all together. But inside, it doesn’t feel that way.
If any of this hits close to home, you’re in the right place.
Therapy is a space to unpack it all — and start feeling more like yourself again.
Facing the parts of yourself that you avoid is the first step toward change.
Your friends and family probably know how to supportively listen. But healing, change, and growth take more than just a compassionate ear.
You need a guide who will listen, support, and challenge you.
Your Guide:
A Therapist with the Perfect Blend of Education and Experience
My name is Mike Garrison.
I wasn't always a therapist. I have worked in high-pressure roles in the Fortune 500 and have successfully acquired, operated, and sold my own business.
But here's the rest of my story: I’ve been that guy who looked like he had it all together on the outside. But inside? Well…not so much. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, to fight battles no one else can see, and to be your own worst critic.
What I’ve learned is this: What you run from, chases you. There’s no shortcut and no magic pill. Happiness doesn’t happen by pretending to have it all together. It starts when you get real with yourself, ask for help, and put in the work.
Today, as a board-certified counselor, I specialize in helping men in Colorado heal, change, and grow. (Please know that while I specialize in men's mental health, I welcome clients of any gender identity who feel we'd work well together.)
