In-Person Therapy for Men in Denver with a Board-Certified Counselor

Real Talk. Real Tools. Real Change.

If you’re like a lot of men, you’ve probably been carrying more than you let on.

From the outside, you might look like you’ve got it together.
But inside, it doesn’t feel that way and holding it all in is starting to take a toll.

Therapy is a space to unpack it all, learn tools for growth, and start feeling more like yourself again.

Your friends and family probably know how to supportively listen. But healing, change, and growth take more than just a compassionate ear.

You need a trained guide who will listen, support, and challenge you.

Your Guide:

A Board-Certified Therapist with the Perfect Blend of Education and Experience…

Portrait of a smiling man in a suit sitting near a window.

My name is Mike Garrison.

I wasn't always a therapist. I have worked in high-pressure roles in the Fortune 500 and have successfully acquired, operated, and sold my own business. But here's the rest of my story: I’ve been that guy who looked like he had it all together on the outside. But inside? Well…I know what it’s like to feel stuck, to fight battles no one else can see, and to be your own worst critic.

What I’ve learned is this: What you run from, chases you. There’s no shortcut and no magic pill. Happiness doesn’t happen by pretending to have it all together. It starts when you get real with yourself, ask for help, and put in the work.

Today, as a board-certified counselor, I specialize in helping men in Colorado heal, change, and grow. (Please know that while I specialize in men's mental health, I welcome clients of any gender identity who feel we'd work well together.)

What It's Like to Work with Me

  • Experience genuine support in a judgement-free zone.

  • In-Person sessions available near downtown Denver, virtual sessions available throughout Colorado.

  • Learn and grow with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment work, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

  • Gain practical tools to apply in your life immediately.

  • A few laughs, wherever we can find some humor, to make the hard work feel lighter.

This isn’t meandering therapy where we talk in circles.

Together, we’ll take a hard look at what's really going on. Then, we’ll strategize about how to make real change happen in your life.
